Ladysmith KZN: 2 men shot dead on Bluebank Road
A murder investigation is underway
Late last night (September 13), the driver and a passenger in a taxi were shot dead on the Bluebank Road.
The two victims, who are believed to be from Roosboom, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Ladysmith police and forensic officials were on scene to comb the area for evidence.
A murder investigation is currently underway, but no arrests have yet been made.
The taxi was covered with blood stains, with a cluster of bullet holes in the driver’s side door.
21 empty R5 and AK-47 cartridges were recovered at the scene.

The motive behind the double murder is unknown at this stage, although it is alleged that the crime is taxi-violence-related. The deceased have not yet been formally identified.
