Ladysmith KZN: Old man still in shock after motor vehicle theft

It's been 2 weeks and Mr Dlamini has not been able to recover his bakkie

An elderly man is still traumatised and asking for the public’s help after an attack that took place about two weeks ago at his home in the Mathondwane area.

On Wednesday night (August 25), Mr Mangaliso Dlamini (68) was brutally attacked by three armed men who demanded that he give them the keys for his bakkie.

Dlamini was bundled into the vehicle, whereupon the robbers drove for quite a distance before ‘ditching’ the scared old man in the veld with his hands tied. The criminals then sped off in the bakkie.

The victim managed to untie himself and made his way to the nearest house to seek help.

It has been two weeks since Mr Dlamini’s bakkie was stolen and he has not been able to recover it.
