Ladysmith KZN: Truck bursts into flames on N3 near Van Reenen

A truck burst into flames earlier today (September 9) along the N3 heading towards Van Reenen.

Luckily, the driver of the truck got out in time and was not injured. 

Alfred Duma Local Municipality firefighters worked tirelessly to put out the blaze. 

Thick black smoke filled the air as Public Safety officers, N3 Toll Concession (N3TC) and towing services went about their duties at the scene.

Traffic is moving slowly past the scene as clean-up and recovery operations are carried out.

Motorists travelling on the N3 are advised to proceed with caution.
