Ladysmith KZN: Truck burns on Van Reenen’s Pass
N3TC officials and RTI officers responded to the scene
A truck caught alight last night (August 31) on Van Reenen’s Pass. The incident took place near the biltong shop at the bottom of the pass on the southbound carriageway.
The cause of the blaze was ‘brakes binding’, which set the tyres on fire and then spread to the truck.
N3TC officials and RTI officers were at the scene.

The N3TC officials tirelessly battled the inferno and managed to get the fire under control before the entire truck went up in flames.
The scene was cleared and the truck was towed away.
