Ladysmith KZN: Cold, snow predicted for parts of the country this week

Temperatures in Ladysmith are likely to drop into the low teens

A cold front is expected to hit parts of the country, including KwaZulu-Natal, on Thursday (August 12). The front is expected to bring icy, wet weather and even a chance of snow.

Temperatures in Ladysmith are likely to drop into the low teens on Friday and Saturday, with some rain predicted to fall on Friday.

According to the South African Weather Service, there is a possibility of snow on the Drakensberg on Friday.

So if you thought the winter chill was over and spring was here, you’d better think again! You’ll need to get out those heaters and warm blankets again, and spend the weekend indoors with a good movie or two.
