The message continued to say that it was expected of ‘all the people’ to inform employers in both the private and public sectors that Monday would be a national stay-away and for the sake of safety, ‘no one will go to work at all’.

Using the hashtag #FreeJacobZuma, the message stated all roads would be completely shut down and an appeal was made for ‘everyone to stay at home’.

“We will never rest [until] Zuma returns. We appeal to all people to buy enough essential needs by tomorrow… The struggle continues. The sadness is facing the black people. Let’s soldier on. Aluta continua… Amandla,” the message concludes.

A journalist for Caxton in Northern KZN revealed that according to sources, protest action took place on Friday night on the N11 in the vicinity of Waterside. Another protest was said to have taken place in Skobaren (Skoparen) near Dannhauser.
