VRYHEID KZN: Wicket Wasps make a clean sweep of the cricket season

The cricket club’s season came to an end this past weekend. With a shortened season, the club had a T20 and a T10 league. The final was contested between Wicket Wasps and Pakkies on Saturday. The Pakkies were all bowled out for 100 runs. The Wicket Wasps then chased down the total in nine overs to win the match by seven wickets. J Booyens stood out with the bat, reaching his 50 in no time, while R Senekal wreaked havoc with the ball in hand, taking four of the wickets. The T10 play-offs and final took place on Sunday. It was a tight affair, with Mr X and the Wasps competing for the honours. The match went down to the wire, but the Wasps again walked off as winners, with T Zondo saving the day out in the middle. We thank all the teams for an exciting season.
