VRYHEID KZN: Ncome ‘carnal stars’ get punished
The Department of Correctional Services condemns any form of sexual attachment or illicit romance between officials and inmates
Two officials from Ncome Correctional Centre have been dismissed. The dismissals follow a leaked sex video that circulated on social media in March. The correctional official in the video, as well as her colleague who allowed her the use of her office for the sexual act were both dismissed after the outcome of a disciplinary process. The inmate who was involved in the sexual act has been reclassified into a Maximum category and he has lost all privileges. He has been moved to another facility. The Department of Correctional Services condemns any form of sexual attachment or illicit romance between officials and inmates, saying that this will not be tolerated. The Code of Conduct is explicit regarding this issue and those who breach the code will face the consequences. The department says it will act promptly against any form of transgression.
