Ladysmith KZN: Man found murdered in his wheelchair on Winterton farm

A man was found dead in his wheelchair on a farm along the Skietsdrift Road, Winterton area, this morning (April 10).
It is alleged that the mother of the deceased arrived at the house and found the female employee working inside. The employee allegedly informed her that her son was still asleep in his room.
When the mother entered the room, she found her 46-year-old son sitting in his wheelchair with his hands tied behind his back. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were bruises on the deceased’s neck.
According to Winterton police, they were notified of a murder on Skietsdrift Farm in the Winterton area at about 10.15am. Police say it is not clear if anything was stolen from the house.
A case is under investigation and no arrests have yet been made.
The motive for the murder is not known at this stage.
