Ladysmith KZN: Still no spectators allowed at sports matches

Cogta Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has published a new gazette that confirms the move to lockdown level 1 and details the changes to some restrictions

With most of the rules and regulations being eased under level 1 lockdown, sports fans are still not allowed to attend matches.

Co-operative Governance & Traditional Affairs (Cogta) Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has published a new gazette that confirms the move to lockdown level 1 and details the changes to some restrictions. The gazette gives effect to the ‘national address’ given by President Cyril Ramaphosa last Sunday evening (February 28), in which he announced the relaxing of restrictions to help further open up and boost the economy.

Sporting activities, including both professional and non-professional matches, are permitted but without spectators.
