A police operation on Friday (February 19) resulted in the arrest of two suspects aged 19 and 29 for drug possession.

Paulpietersburg Visible Policing officers were conducting a ‘stop and search’ operation along the R33 road when they stopped a black BMW sedan at about 2pm. Upon searching the vehicle, 15 parcels of compressed dagga were found in the boot. Each parcel weighed 36.88kg.

When a bag that was in possession of a female passenger was searched, two additional small parcels of compressed dagga were found, weighing 9.86kg.

Two suspects were arrested and appeared in the Paulpietersburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday (February 22). The suspects’ vehicle was entered into the custody register for further investigation.
