Ladysmith KZN: Grave situation attended to by helpful community

A big thank you goes out to the local municipality, individuals and families who contributed in the form of helpers and donating sand to fill the graves

The Muslim community heeded and responded to the call made by the Muslim Burial Society to assist in filling graves that had sunk in due to the flood waters.

Mr Soojat Khan, who is the chairman of the Muslim Burial Society, was on hand to supervise and co-ordinate the helpers. “

A big thank you goes out to the local municipality, individuals and families who contributed in the form of helpers and donating sand to fill the graves,” said Mr Abed Karrim of the Ladysmith Dawah Centre.

The Ladysmith Dawah Centre is a member of the burial society, and Karrim continued that, “In working together, there is no limit to what we all can do in serving our communities in times of need… and in this situation, giving respect and dignity to our loved ones who have passed on.”
