It was back to school for learners at public schools today (February 15).
With face masks on and social distancing in place, it was an unusual first day at school as the learners adjusted to their new surroundings.

There were no tears but some anxiety on the faces on the little ones at as they settled down at their desks and started the day off with colouring.
Parents hovered outside, waiting to catch another glance of their children on their first day at school.
During a press briefing outlining the school readiness programme for the start of the 2021 academic year, Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga on Sunday said that it was all systems go to receive learners.
