Three people have been killed and several others injured after a collision between a truck and a taxi on the N3 at about 4am today. (December 24).
Emergency services report that the taxi had broken down on the side of the road when the truck collided into the rear of it.
The collision took place on the southbound lane close to the Frere interchange.
The crumpled remains of the taxi is on the side of the road, while police and emergency services tend to the injured and decreased.
The truck is parked meters away from the scene.
It has been reported that four people also sustained serious injuries and 10 others were treated for minor injuries.
