Ladysmith KZN: Electrical interruptions at Spioenkop result in water-shedding
uThukela say they need to build up bulk water levels in town
uThukela District Municipality has released a media statement informing Ladysmith residents that due to electrical interruptions at Spioenkop, there will be water-shedding.
According to uThukela District communications manager Jabulani Mkhonza, Spioenkop is the only water supply to the Ladysmith Bulk Water Works. Without water supply from Spioenkop, it makes it impossible to supply Ladysmith on a continuous time schedule.

Due to electrical interruptions, uThukela are forced to start water-shedding cuts at 7pm tonight (October 20) and again at 7pm tomorrow (October 21) to build up bulk water levels in town, adds Mkhonza.
