Vryheid KZN: Bikers unite against farm murders and racism

The group of bikers gathered at The Junction just outside of town and made their way to the Klipkerk

The roaring and exhilarating sound of between 20 and 30 motorbikes filled the air on Saturday when local bikers joined the nationwide ride against farm murders and racism.
The group of bikers gathered at The Junction just outside of town and made their way to the Klipkerk. After a short message about the seriousness and sudden escalation in farm murders and racism, a prayer was conducted. Afterwards, the bikers dispersed and some of them gathered at a local bar to commemorate the day. Sadly, it was reported the next morning that a couple had been murdered on their farm in the Normandien area on the same day as the nationwide ride against farm attacks. It was reported that Glen and Vida Rafferty returned home to their farm in Normandien on the night of August 29. They were killed at the entrance to the property and the attackers fled the scene with the couple’s vehicle.

The bikers gathered in front of the Klipkerk for a short message and prayer.
