Rajesh Ramdaw celebrates his 55th birthday
Formerly from Verulam, Mr Ramdaw was 18 years old when he arrived in Newcastle.
Nofta Chairman, Rajesh Ramdaw, celebrated his 55th birthday at Nofta Hall on February 22.
Formerly from Verulam, Mr Ramdaw was 18 years old when he arrived in Newcastle.
He was employed at ISCOR, now known as ArcelorMittal, and befriended Bully Singh.
Mr Ramdaw and Mr Singh have since been good friends for 35 years.
“He was a rebel at work, and because I was a union representative at the time, always got him out of trouble,” reminisced Mr Singh.
Mr Ramdaw said he was honoured to have shared his special day with the members of Nofta.
Mr Singh commended Mr Ramdaw on the exceptional job he has done as chairman of Nofta and wished him well in his future endeavours.
“I look forward to the day when I sign Mr Ramdaw up as a senior citizen of Nofta,” joked Mr Singh.
