Gift of giving to orphaned and vulnerable children

Not only did the Gift of the Givers team come with food parcels that contained grocery essentials, they also came bearing sweet gifts

It’s been almost three months since the orphaned and vulnerable children of the Ithembalethu Outreach Project received a visit from the Gift of the Givers Estcourt branch.

But on Saturday, the children were in for a treat.

Not only did the Gift of the Givers team come with food parcels that contained grocery essentials, they also came bearing sweet gifts.

200 food parcels were distributed in Wembezi, Rensburgdrift and Colita; this being part of the foundation’s Covid-19 disaster response and hunger alleviation food parcel project.

“The children all received food parcels, as well as some extras. This included Future Life porridge, Lindt chocolates and Manhattan sweets. We also distributed 400 face masks; each child received two. The children were over-the-moon when they saw the extra chocolate and sweets,” said Jaaved Khan from the Gift of the Givers Estcourt branch.
