The next stop was the Boundary Road Masjid, where the team distributed 70 parcels.

“The recipients were eagerly awaiting our arrival. Once again, everyone was extremely grateful and the committee was thankful for the assistance during these tough times,” added Mr Khan.

In total, 100 parcels were distributed, which contained a few extras like Future Life porridge, Manhattan sweets, Nestlé cappuccino and Lindt chocolates.

200 bars of soap were also included. This was donated by people from Estcourt and collected by Raeesa Moosa.

“Recipients and members at both distribution points were pleasantly surprised at the size of the parcels we handed out. One of the recipients said they are used to collecting just one packet as a food hamper. We would like to express our gratitude to Ahmed Aziz, who assisted us with the co-ordination of the distribution,” concluded Mr Khan.
