SANTACO gives to the needy

A total of 100 families benefited from SANTACO Zululand.

The chairperson of SANTACO in Zululand, Sibusiso Zwane, has extended a helping hand to 100 needy families in Mandlakazi, Nongoma.
With support from Sol Paruk from Transat Bus Services, Zwane made food donations which included 10kg maize meal, 10kg rice, 2.5kg samp, 2.5kg beans, 10kg sugar, 5kg cooking oil, baked beans (pack of six), fish-pilchards (pack of six), 7kg potatoes, onions and butternut.
Zwane said, “Someone alerted me that there were families in dire need of food, as the world is faced with the Covid-19 crisis that affects people’s daily means of making money.

So I dug into my pockets and with assistance from Sol Paruk, we managed to give these families proper food for the time being.” Zwane ensured that all families adhered to social distancing, wore masks and had their hands sanitized when the handover was done at Nongoma taxi rank. MEC for Transport Bheki Ntuli, Mayor Mncwango and National SANTACO First Deputy President Zondi graced the occasion with their presence.
