Estcourt Secondary scholars save the day

Learners share a pint of lifesaving blood

Estcourt Secondary scholars put their pens down last week to save lives with a life-saving pint of blood.

Between 9.30am and 2pm last Tuesday, the learners rolled up their sleeves in support of a worthy cause.

60 learners attended the blood clinic. 54 bled the precious gift of life, and the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) team welcomed seven new blood donors.

The target was set at 33 for the clinic. The SANBS team and blood clinic coordinator Mr SM Dawoonarain would like to thank the school, saying:

“Well done! The unity you have shown has made the clinic a success.”
