5 tips to keep your hair healthy and strong

Don't wash your hair too often!

Us ladies want long, strong hair and will do just about anything to achieve this goal. Even though my hair is strong, it’s also very brittle in a way… We need to take care of our hair!

So here are a few tips to keep your hair healthy and strong:

1- Make sure you eat healthy: This is the most important step, without a doubt. Eat many different kinds of foods, including fish, vegetables, meat, fruits, etc.

2- Drink water: This one is simple. 6-8 cups of water per day is super important for you, and not a difficult thing to do.

3- Don’t wash your hair too often: Sure, it’s important for your hygiene to shower every day, but only wash your hair with shampoo 2-3 times a week. That’s about once every two days. This is because shampoo washes away the natural oils from your scalp, leading to greasy hair (because to compensate for that, your body starts producing a lot more of those oils than it naturally should), dandruff and in many cases, more brittle hair.

4- Avoid stress: Too much stress over prolonged periods of time can actually stop your hair growth, because your body decides it is more important to conserve all the energy possible.

5- Use hair conditioners found in nature: Coconut oil is very rich in nutrients, which will be sucked into your hair and scalp, and it also compensates for the “shock” your hair gets when you shampoo it, which takes the natural oils out of your hair and scalp.
