Vryheid Athletics Club – Walkers go big for charity
It is almost November 1, Christmas and the end of 2015, but before your diaries get filled up with social events make a note of the Hippie and Hobo Year End function on Friday, November 13, at the Pioneer School sports hall.
THE Big Walk was a huge success and over 300 walkers, young and old, big and small, took part in this event.
A very big thank you to the Department of Sport and Recreation (our main sponsor); Abaqulusi and to Pioneer School for allowing us the use of the sports grounds. To each and every entrant – thank you – your fee went to a worthy charity (The Sunflower Fund) . Well done to the committee and members for all your effort in helping towards the smooth running of this race.

The AGM will be held in the clubhouse on Thursday, November 26. Members, make an effort to attend, as this meeting concerns your club and your input is welcome.
The Park Run has started and Smuts is the man spearheading this wonderful concept. Time trials are held every Thursday at 5.30pm from Pioneer School with a social bring and braai after.
