King David Park commemorates Yom HaZikaron

Learners of King David Victory Park were hosted to a special assembly with two guest speakers who shared their experiences.

King David High School Victory Park recently commemorated Yom HaZikaron with what was said to be a poignant assembly.

The event was described as a sombre, but important reminder of the ongoing struggle for peace and the sacrifices made by those who fight for it.

The school’s marketer, Nirvana Rogers, said commemoration of Yom Hazikaron was a fitting tribute to the fallen soldiers and victims of terror, ‘who have given the ultimate sacrifice for the existence and independence of the State of Israel’.

On the day, two guest speakers addressed the school – Cheryl Mandel, who lost her son Daniel in a military operation in Shechem, a city in Israel, while Dana Ofir spoke about her injuries in a terror attack.
