Fairland invited to CPF Market Day

FAIRLAND – Clear your diary for 30 May, a market day is on the way.

CPF will host its Market Day on 30 May and the community is invited.

The chance to participate in community building, supporting local entrepreneurs and business, meeting role players of the community, supporting community organisations while at the same time enjoy a fun day out with the family has returned for the Fairland Policing Precinct. On 30 May, the Fairland Community Policing Forum (CPF) will host its latest edition of their Market Day and like all the others hosted in the past, this is set to be an unforgettable day to strengthen the ties of residents and business in the area.

In addition to giving the residents and businesses in the Fairland Policing Precinct a chance to meet and greet, this edition of the Market Day is guaranteed to feature tons of things to look forward to. From all the beautiful arts and crafts on offer, great smelling and tasting foods and drinks, a fun-rated kids activities and entertainment area, to local property agents and security companies sharing their expertise on the area, all while the police and Metro police partake in the event as guests and protectors. There will also be a DJ spinning all the tracks needed to make sure it is a memorable day out in the park with the community.

The CPF’s Yasmine Miemiec explained, “We are providing a platform for our vendors to showcase their products. Although we usually only have the market once a year, this year we had so many requests for another one that we scheduled an additional one. We would love for residents to support our vendors by shopping local, to meet the amazing organisations and businesses in the area, to have a chance to meet each other to build our community spirit, and just to have a fun day out.”

The Spring Market will be hosted in Market Street Park, opposite Fairland SPAR, along Smit Street (between 5th and 6th avenues). For more details on the market including getting involved, please contact the Fairland CPF via email at fairlandcpfmarket@gmail.com
