Members of the Linden Community Police Forum wished to thank officers at all police stations and security officers at private companies for their efforts as frontline workers during the Covid-19 crisis.
SUNIL MENON: In the last year, we have had to see unimaginable circumstances. To the South African Police Service, who has been at the forefront in the battle against this pandemic, we extend our deepest gratitude. We also thank members of security companies for their added support, their efforts have been tireless and have not gone unnoticed. You have had to enforce laws that no one saw coming, and have had to deal with a frustrated and angry public, who often take out these frustrations on you. You have all lost colleagues and loved ones to this virus, yet you get up every day and put your uniform on.
