Festive fashion with Kirsty Bennett

She said the best advice for evening glam was to spice it up with accessories such as some bling jewellery or even a great statement clutch or shoe.

It’s the festive season and we could all do with a little bit of style and panache.
While 2020 has been rather drab, stylist and fashion extraordinaire, Kirsty Bennett has all the tips and frills to get you looking fabulous this holiday season.

Keeping it chic, Bennett conceptualised three glam looks to keep you on point this December.
“One of my go to stores is definitely H&M, I love how versatile and on-trend they always are. Whenever I go there, which is often, I always find just what I’m looking for,” she said.

Look chic without trying too hard by pairing a flirty dress with a sneaker or a breezy jumpsuit and a killer heel.
“The choices are endless but remember keep it glamorous.”

“It’s the perfect time to pull out the little black dress.” She said the best advice for evening glam was to spice it up with accessories such as some bling jewellery or even a great statement clutch or shoe.

“A great time to look like a disco ball without the judgement,” she teased. She advised that if you have one statement piece, combine it with tonal footwear accessories.

Loving clothes from a young age, Bennett said her passion for fashion was inspired by her mother Karen.

“We would spend weekends going shopping and she made it so fun because I was allowed to always be creative and pick my own pieces. “When we would get home I would put on a massive fashion show for the entire house. Clothing made me feel so powerful like I could do or be anything or anyone.”

She said watching her mom getting ready for parties was mesmerizing and beautiful to watch.

Carrying that style with her, she also shared her top three summer trends to look out for this December.

Starting with footwear, Bennett said the must-have sandal this season was the chunky sandal. From rope details to knot details, the key in footwear is to go bold.
“Next is the denim shorts, the updated version is much longer than your daisy dukes, it ends just above the knee and you can pair this with an oversized tee or tuck in a T-shirt with a blazer for a more formal look.”

She also said puffed sleeves saw a subtle revival last year in dresses. This year, however ,they are seen on both dresses and T-shirts, which gives your look some drama.

With a natural gift for styling, she said she had found her purpose building up other people through fashion.
