We all know Jason Goliath, we all know Donovan Goliath but who is that third guy with them? Worry not as Nicholas Goliath, the other Goliath, is excited to announce that he will be hosting his first one-man stand-up comedy show titled, The Other Goliath between 5 and 8 September at the Melville Comedy Club.
After 8 years of learning, correcting and mastering the art of stand-up, Nicholas is now ready to take the stage all by himself. He said, “I’ve just been scared of doing an hour show, I never thought I’d have an hour of material. Now I just feel like I’m in the right space. I’ve been performing a lot of the last two years trying to get myself ready to face an audience for an hour.”
Sometimes referred to as ‘the big one’, the ‘light one’ and ‘the other one’, the Goliath trio have often laughed when they are mistaken for one another in public. This soon became an inside joke among them and inspired the title for the show as Nicholas is affectionately and humorously called ‘The Other Goliath’.
This Goliath explained the reasons behind the name of the show. “The name comes from me being aware of what I am in the public eye. I’ve had too many times taken pictures with people and they ask me if am Jason or Donovan or I’m with Jason and Donovan then I end up having to take the photo because I am the other guy there.”
The show will give him the chance to show people who he really is while exploring journeys through Nicholas’ life, career, marriage, thoughts and experiences in the most hilarious way. Goliath shared a sneak peek into one of the jokes he knows will knock out the crowd. With a scheming look on his face he said, “I have a very interesting view on childbirth. That’s the one that I trust. It’s a different take on childbirth and what the possibilities of it are. You have to see it for sure.”
