Entries are now open for the 2018 Spring Talent Competition

SOPHIATOWN – Whether you take part or just attend, make sure not to miss this talent show.

Plans to support CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation through a community talent show have finally kicked off.

The 2018 Spring Talent Competition will be hosted by the Nederduitse Gereformeerde Church on 8 September.

Entries for the show have already opened and Bianca Hattingh, organiser of the event welcomes everyone to enter.

“The event is based on a talent competition where people can enter the competition, young and old, there are no age restrictions,” she said.

It will be a day-long family extravaganza with additional entertainment planned apart from the talent show. Hattingh said there will be a children’s entertainment area to keep the young ones busy where they will be spoilt with jumping castles and face painting and food will be on sale to keep the hunger at bay.

There will be a raffle held on the day and the winners thereof will be awarded special prizes while special performances by Zenaldo, Deon Laubscher and Tulla Eckhart are also on the agenda.

Spectator tickets will cost R60* for adults and R35 for children.

The entry fee for the talent show is R50 per person and entry forms can be collected and dropped off at Wildsoft Computers at either the Sophiatown shopping centre or Hair to Toes in Greyhound.

All money received from the event will be donated to CHOC.

Hattingh is very thankful to all the sponsors that have come on board so far and encourages anyone interested in making a donation with this initiative to contact her.
