DSJ host fun-filled 111th Schulbasar for the whole family

MILPARK – Now we wait for #Basar2019.

Food, fun, sun and beer made the school’s 111th Schulbasar a memorable one.

Deutsche International Schule Johannesburg (DSJ) has successfully added another entertaining Schulbasar.

 

Deutsche International Schule Johannesburg hosted their 111th Schulbasar on 26 May which gave everyone in attendance a taste of German culture.

 

The school held their 111th on 26 May to which thousands of people got to experience German culture right in Johannesburg.

The event promised to not only be a beer festival but a fun-filled family day out. The school kept its word, as children of all ages and their families were spoilt for activities and entertainment.

The event was not short of things to eat, do or drink. While many feasted on German edibles such as matjes, fleischkäse, schnitzel and bratwurst, others quenched their thirst with authentic German lagers.

If these didn’t tickle one’s interest there was a wide range of traditional food and drinks on sale to be enjoyed. It was all smiles for children as they played in the sun.

There were rides and games on offer to keep them entertained throughout the event. Musical performances by Velvet Sounds Oompah Band, Dominic Neill, Vin Deysel and the Dixie Hillbillies had the ecstatic crowd dancing and smiling. With security on alert all day the event went smoothly.
