During the festive season, we all over indulge.
However, while taking a break from their daily lives many do not need to take a break from their diets or fitness regimes.
Here are a few ways to stay fit and healthy while on holiday:
- Remain hydrated throughout your trip and drink plenty of water during your journey.
- Pack your own snacks for the trip and include fresh fruit, raw vegetables, yogurt, sandwiches, hard-boiled eggs, nuts and dried fruit.
- Schedule your workouts and all your exercise activities. Try to find free time for a long jog or even a few sit-ups.
- Get active with family and friends, whether it be swimming in a pool or going to the beach or cycling through a new town.
- Find good opportunities to walk instead of taking the car. Walking around whether it be for sightseeing or going to a restaurant or the beach.
