Five tips to the perfect #TongueOutTuesday

#ManCrushMonday #ThrowBackThursday #WomanCrushWednesday, it seems that every day of the week is accompanied by a hashtag, although many are not familiar with Tuesday’s designated hashtag, #TongueOutTuesday.

Fortunately, this is not a hashtag subjecting us to a stream full of pouting, tongue-pulling teens but rather, appeals to dog lovers. The hashtag focuses mostly on the slobbery pink tongue of man’s best friend.

Here are five tips for you to join in on #TongueOutTuesday and get the perfect photo of your favourite pooch.

Tip 1: Photograph your dog during play time, as a couple rounds of catch is sure to get their tongue lolling

Tip 2: Have someone sit next to the dog to distract it from anything you might be doing with the camera

Tip 3: Do not try to stage the photo too much, rather, run or roll around your dog to get the most natural photo; it is better for the animal

Tip 4: Stay relaxed; animals can pick up on your mood and may become overly excited if you do not act in a calm, rational manner

Tip 5: Pay your model and reward your dog for their cooperation and you may even get better photographs next time around.
