Nine shows to show you care about animals

ROOSEVELT PARK – Nine one-act plays at the Franklin Players Community Theatre give a portion of their sales to a worthy cause for animals.

The Franklin Players Community Theatre in Roosevelt Park aims to bring theatre to the community.

The 2016 Franklin and Friends One Act Festival is sure to draw crowds with a jam-packed line-up of nine one-act-plays. According to the chairperson, Els de Bundel, the opening night will be on 1 April. “The cast and directors have been working tirelessly on their productions and the commitment and hard work are sure to culminate in nine show-stopping productions for your viewing pleasure,” said De Bundel.

As a community theatre, The Franklin Players are committed to supporting a charitable cause with each production. “The chosen charity for 2016 is Friends of Rescued Animals (Fora). This means that ten percent of all ticket sales from all shows held by Franklin Players will be donated to our furry friends at Fora,” concluded De Bundel.

People can attend the shows by booking before hand. The show dates are 1 and 8 April as well as 2 and 9 April. The ticket prices are R50 per adult and R35 for scholars and pensioners.

For bookings contact the Franklin Players Community Theatre and support a very worthy cause while being entertained by very talented actors.
