EMMARENTIA – Stories to keep children alive the whole of February at the Kinder Theatre.

If you are a parent looking to keep your children alive this February, take your little one for a treat, you can visit Kinder Theatre in Emmarentia.

This is a place where they introduce first-theatre experience to early ages.

Children spend hours of fun and laughter.

On 6 February at 10am: Cats & Dogs by Darin the Magician.

This is comedy at its best.

Darin with his ventriloquist ability is in dialogue with his pets which makes not only children love it, but is fun for the whole family.

On 9 February at 3.30pm: Numbi, the Shy Giraffe

Numbi gets teased because he is different and whenever this happens, he runs away.

One day he meets Gogo Thembi and she teaches him to be proud and stand his ground. This is a puppet show by Margaret Auerbach.

On 13 February at 10am: The Three Billy Goats Gruff

This is a traditional story of the Three Billy Goats, where the bully gets his just desserts.

On 16 at 3.30pm: From Spaceships, Marsmen and Star Wars

Machteld van Nieuwkerk takes children on an outer-space adventure with marionettes and puppets and lots of little skits.

On 20 February at 10am: The Lighthouse

This is about Gordon living in a lighthouse. He watches the sea every day for ships and for his friend Samuel the Sailor.

Linda, Thato and Eva say Samuel is never coming back, but Gordon won’t give up hope.

Surely Samuel will come back for his birthday? A tale of friendship and love performed by two physical theatre performers.

A story of waiting, patience and boredom brought to life through multiple characters, physical theatre, acrobatics, shadow puppetry and more.

It is directed by directed by Maude Sandham.
