• Africa Day Concert 2015

Make your way to Bassline in Newtown on 29 May and unite as Africans. Joana Serrat, Joajoby and rap sensation iFani will be dazzling the crowd with their performances at 8pm. It will be all about music and laughter, uniting Africans and finding the joys in the little things.

• Seven Sounds – May

If you are living for the moment, then make your way to Maboneng Precinct in Johannesburg for the Seven Sounds. The line-up is composed of seven original artists, creating a sonic landscape both eclectic and unique. The festival is a daytime special so brace yourself to move to the music while soaking up what’s left of the sun’s rays. Line-up: Dave Baudains, Yo Grapes, The Urban Village, Toya Delazy, Arno Carstens, Moonchild and Go Barefoot.

• iStart2Sing Music And Arts Festival

Embrace the spirit of solidarity, highlight diversity, disability and sustainability at iStart2Sing Music and Arts Festival at Constitutional Hill on 31 May from 10am. The day will be packed with a variety of art forms including music, dance, performance, fine art, poetry and writing.

Line-up: Ntsiki Mazwai, Zubz The Last Letta, Pops Mohamed, Luanga Choba, Yvonne ChakaChaka, Sheraaz Band, Zain Bhikha, Somerfaan, TapTap, IT, Bacchus Nel, Stilo Magolide, TMO, Cuebar, The Pencil Boy, Franky and Bazy B.

• Together Fridays

It is Friday and what better way to celebrate the end of the week than joining the Together Friday event. Together Fridays launches tonight 29 May at 8pm in Sandton. Line-up includes Saubomb, Chrizz Beatz, Essential Groove, Vin Groovin, Houseshaker, Rikay and Jason Roberts.

• Hello Jozi Block Party

The Hello Block Party will be taking over Carfax on 30 May from 5pm. Do the right thing and join the party. Tickets are available online from Webtickets, prices range between R85 and R100.

• Pacha Ibiza On Tour – Johannesburg

Make your way to the Tin Factory in Sandton on 30 May from 7pm to celebrate Pacha Ibiza On Tour. The venue will provide you with the true spirit of Ibiza, featuring internationally acclaimed DJ Sarah Main, Pacha Dancers and exquisite entertainers as they indulge the crowd with all the glitz and glam that only Pacha does best. Great local DJs Ricky H, Misterio, Kyle Watson, Tayla Skye and Vini will also be providing you with the beats to keep you jamming all through the day and night. • Oyster, Wine and Food Festival 2015

The 10th Oyster, Wine and Food Festival takes place right here at Gauteng’s favourite spot – Montecasino from 29 until 31 May. The event is an established firm favourite crowned as Gauteng’s largest Oyster Festival and it promises to deliver 65 000 succulent oysters flown in from Knysna, 300 different wines from 32 wine estates, gallons of beer aplenty and gourmet food offered by more than 30 exhibitors this year. So you will get to sip on the diverse and interesting wines, beer and bubbly on offer paired with fresh succulent oysters.
