Singer, songwriter and actress Natalie Chapman will be hosting a concert at Mark’s Park on 27 April as part of her #90Days2015 music tour.

The Freedom Day show will offer an incredible line-up of South African talent, including Chapman, Raoul and Black Friday; Roan and Janie Bay. The purpose of the 90-days campaign is about raising awareness and giving a voice to survivors of violent and sexual crimes.

Audiences can expect an afternoon of quality music and the opportunity to show their support of this incredible cause.

Chapman has been busy completing what was considered by many to be an impossible task. She has embarked on a journey to perform 180 shows in 90 consecutive days in 90 different towns from January to April 2014, covering more than 13 500km across South Africa, and reaching thousands of individuals with her message of hope, motivation and music,

Chapman pointed out that it has been a wonderful opportunity and she is honoured to be part of the initiative.

“All South Africans are in some way affected by violent and sexual crimes and I believe I’ve found a way to join music and social change to make a difference for one person at a time,” she said.

She continued to explain the significance of the campaign and her expectations for the last leg.

“This journey has been one filled with challenges, South Africans from all corners of the country, I am hoping that the final show can live up to the other shows of the tour [so far] and that we will all join in, in celebrating Freedom Day and the completion of #90Days2015 tour. I have put together a line-up of top quality artists who are lending their talent to the event. I believe this will be a day to remember for all guests,” she said.

Chapman has been awarded a LEADSA Hero Award for her efforts in May last year.
