Ice-cream cones
Celebrate our Christmas climate with these cool cones.
Materials
- Brown cardboard
- Glue
- Tissue paper in bright colours
- Needle
- Thread
Instructions
To make the cones, cut circles from the brown cardboard. (use a small glass or mug as a stencil.)
Cut each circle in half. Shape the semicircles into cones, cutting off any extra cardboard you don’t need.
Secure the cone with glue.
Fold a small piece of tissue paper into a ball and crumple it up to make an ice-cream scoop. Choose another colour of tissue paper and repeat to make a second ice-cream scoop.
Thread a needle with a doubled piece of thread through the top of the ice-cream scoop that will be the top of the cone, so that a loop of thread sticks out of the top.
Line the inside rim of the cone with glue and push the bottom ice-cream scoop into the cone (the scoop without the thread).
Spread glue on the underside of the top scoop and add it to the cone.
