Mojak Lehoko to tickle your funny bone

FAIRLANDS – Mojak Lehoko is bringing his one-man comedy show, How Did I Get Here? to the PopArt theatre in Johannesburg from 27 to 29 November.

The Emmy-nominated writer for Late Nite News and SA Comic’s Choice Awards nominee, Mojak Lehoko is ready to tickle your funny bone.

Johannesburg audiences will be delighted to know that Lehoko is bringing his one-man comedy show, How Did I Get Here? to the PopArt Theatre from 27 to 29 November.

The Fairland resident began performing in 2009 at Cool Runnings in Melville, and his style of comedy could be regarded as observational and unstructured.

He started venturing into writing and performing in 2010 for Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola. He also had the privilege of being nominated in the 2011 Newcomer category in the inaugural SA Comic’s Choice Awards. He has recently also written on Vuzu Amp’s new mockumentary, The Real Jozi A-Listers.

His semi-autobiographical comedy show will look at South Africans, their quirks and all the changes the country has been through since the dawn of its democracy.

“I am incredibly excited to perform in Maboneng. The area attracts a very eclectic mix of people who make up a great audience for a comedy show,” said the comedian.

“People can expect a hilarious stand-up comedy show that delves into relationships, politics and much more.”

He also hinted that there might even be delicious treats for audience members.

Tickets are R85 pre-booked or R95 at the door.

Details: Pop Art Theatre, Hayleigh 083 245 1040.
