The Beach volleyball experience added flavour and value to the South African sporting calendar with 32 teams battling it.

Sports fanatics were served some much-needed flavour at Cresta Shopping Centre on 15 until 17 August.

The South African Breweries’ Flying Fish premium flavoured beer and Beach Volleyball South Africa hosted their National Volley Ball in a unique beach set up at the shopping centre’s amphitheatre.

This initiative saw 32 teams, each consisting of 16 men and 16 women competing in the volleyball thrill.

Beach volleyball in the country is soaring to new heights with the eight events, each carrying prize money of R 70 000 per event, R35 000 for both male and female winning teams.

This gave some hopeful participant a chance of walking away with a share of the prize money.
