éVoid to fill space at Cresta

CRESTA – Popular '80s band returns to tour South Africa.

The South African pop/rock band éVoid will perform at The Barnyard Theatre Cresta twice in the next two weeks. The band was highly successful in the ’80s, and now resides in London, United Kingdom. It is embarking on its first reunion tour in South Africa, performing at different Barnyard theatres around the country in August. The tour celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the gold selling debut album called eVoid.

The band will perform at the Cresta venue on 23 and 27 August, which is home to their original drummer, Danny de Wet. De Wet will open the shows with his new band, Made In Wrong Kong. The group are best known for their hits Shadows and Taximan, and for creating a “Fadgets” look consisting of colourful ethno-gypsy outfits juxtaposed with isiZulu and Ndbele beadwork accessories.
