Don’t settle

Our new Editor in Chief wont settle for anything less than the best.

As a youngster I moved a lot with my folks and when they got divorced I always had two homes.

Although this may sound a bit strange, I enjoyed looking for new places to live. I looked forward to redecorating my bedroom and making new friends.

Needless to say, the excitement of new surroundings has followed me into my adult life and now I find myself wanting to move to a new place every year. In my spare time I browse through property websites, imagining how life would be living in the different houses.

Now after rearranging my lounge and bedrooms several times, I know it’s time for a new house. So at the end of the month I will be moving, again.

Finding a place this time around, however has not been so enjoyable. I have spent my nights viewing properties in the northern suburbs and every time I find the one I love, the agent will tell me the next day, that the place has been taken by someone else.

As the end of the month is fast approaching and having viewed at least six houses, I was becoming a little concerned that I will be homeless.

But with a little faith, I have found the perfect place. For now anyway.

So if you are looking for a new home and you feel like you might not find it in time, my advice is to stay positive. The right place may be around the corner, don’t settle for a home you don’t really like.

After all, home is where the heart is.
