JOBURG - Explore Johannesburg Art Gallery, one of the city's cultural treasure troves, with the Johannesburg Heritage Foundation.
The foundation’s Eira Bond said the tour was planned due to “popular demand”, and that she had received requests to see “some of the really fascinating parts of the gallery”.
“We [will take] a bus that allows us glimpses of some really fine public art before we move to the gallery for the highlights, including a few old favourites,” she said.
The gallery’s collection includes works by artists including Auguste Rodin, Pablo Picasso, Henry Moore, Gerard Sekoto, Walter Battiss and Jacobus Pierneef.
The tour will take place on 15 March at 2pm.
