Faul temporarily replaces Moroe, rest of board remains at CSA

JOBURG – The rest of Cricket South Africa's board of directors appear to have held on to their positions.

After Cricket South Africa’s CEO, Thabang Moroe was suspended by his board with immediate effect, the entity revealed that Northerns and Titans chief executive, Jacques Faul would replace him as acting CEO.

Moroe was suspended from 6 December with pay on allegations of misconduct, with a full investigation to follow.

Apart from two resignations on the CSA board (Iqbal Khan and Shirley Zinn), the rest of the board, and president Chris Nenzani, appear to have held on to their positions.
This comes after weeks and even months of allegations of maladministration in the country’s cricket governing body ranging from player payment disputes,  credit card irregularities, to lack of communication with the South African Cricketer’s Associations (Saca). This includes, poorly implemented funding of the Newlands Stadium redevelopment to further issues that even lead the Central Gauteng Lions and the Gauteng Cricket Board to host a public meeting about CSA’s woes and where the province called for Moroe’s resignation, the restructure of his board and an independent investigation into the entity.
