A star in the making in the sports world

RANDPARK RIDGE – A great opportunity for the learners to bond as a team and with others from other schools and share good sportsmanship.

Grade 11 learner at De La Salle Holy Cross College Fabio Ferrari was awarded Boys B Division player of the tournament in the Sun City Private Schools Tennis Tournament.

Fabio and five other players of the college participated and were accompanied by teacher in charge of tennis, Antony Bullen. Fabio has participated in this event for three years.

“I started playing tennis in Grade R and also played other sports like swimming, hockey and golf,” he said.

“It was lovely playing at Sun City this year. I felt we bonded a lot as a team, and it felt really good winning this title this year. I definitely prepared myself physical and mentally for this tournament because it is something I really wanted to win this year.”

“I balance my sports and academics by concentrating on schoolwork during the week, and on weekends leave the practicing and study for big tests. I’m lucky because we only practise tennis once a week in school so I have worked hard to be here and understand the I need to be disciplined to achieve all my goals.”
