Greenside shows their support for the boks

GREENSIDE – Learners in green support the boys in green.

Primary school learners wish the Springboks well in Japan.

The time has come for the green and gold to put South Africa on their backs and leads to victory. The Rugby World Cup is upon us yet again and until take-off on 20 September in Japan. South Africa qualified for the biggest rugby competition on the planet and will be facing New Zealand on 21 September at the Yokohama International Stadium. To encourage our Springboks, the learners of Greenside Primary shared a few messages of inspiration to the team as they prepare for battle in the land of the samurais.

Have a look at what they had to say to the national team:

ANELE NDLOVU: I would like to wish the Springboks a great trip to Japan as they have two world titles. Let’s hope they do it for Chester Williams who passed on early this month.
ZOE GABA: I hope that the Springboks play with all their might. I want to say congrats to them to qualifying for the world cup. I love Herschel Jantjies and our captain Siya Kolisi.
IZZUDIN CORNELIUS: Good luck to the Springboks at the world cup. I hope you guys bring back the gold and Eben Etzibeth is my role model. All the best guys.
IBRAAHEEM LAMBAT: I would like to wish the Springboks a great world cup. I hope we win this year as we did in 1995 and 2007. We recently moved up in the world rankings and I think this will do us good going into the tournament.
FAIZAN SHAIKH: I am so proud that we qualified for the Japan World Cup. I wish you guys all the best for our first match against New Zealand.
TRISTAN GARCIA: I wish you guys the great rugby world cup. I wish you win because we really need a world cup win. I pray for Siya Kolisi and the team and we pray for Chester Willaims as well.
