King David Victory Park wins rugby match against DLSHCC

VICTORY PARK – The schools played against each other at a rugby derby on 14 May.


King David High School Victory Park hosted a rugby league derby game against De La Salle Holy Cross College on 14 May.

The first team rugby boys at King David were in top form and winning the match against De La Salle Holy Cross College by 32-17.

In the first half their attack was unstoppable and in the second half the team’s resilience against the De la Salle Holy Cross College’s onslaught was extremely impressive.

“King David Victory Park and De La Salle Holy Cross College have always hosted each other for an annual derby day. For the past three years it did not happen, but as from this year it will be an annual event again,” said Thulani Ndlovu, head of sports at King David Victory Park.

Ndlovu explained that the match played was a league match between the two schools as both of them are part of the Pirates B Rugby League.
