Two King David soccer teams at the top of their league

VICTORY PARK – The King David High School Victory Park junior girls played their hearts out during their soccer season.

What a soccer season it’s been for King David High School Victory Park.

After training, blood, sweat and tears, both the school’s U14 and U15 soccer girls fought their way to the top of the 2017 JVW Joburg Stream 3 league.

The JVW Girls School league may not have been around for a long time, however, since it started in 2012 with only 12 participating teams, it has grown to over 100 teams.

The league is no average school league either – the 2012 Schools League Player of the Year, Nelisiwe Mchunu, was scouted from the league to the South African Senior Women’s Team (Banyana Banyana). She earned her first cap for the team in 2013.

King David has congratulated their junior girls for being the overall winners of the prestigious league.
