Golf day a success

NORTHCLIFF – The Institute of Credit Management of South Africa (ICMSA) raises funds through its golf day

The Institute of Credit Management of South Africa (ICMSA) held a Golf Day at Roclands Golf Course, Woodmead, on 15 September. There were 60 participants who played golf, helping to raise around R25 000 for the ICMSA.

Hanna Botha, general manager of ICMSA, said that they are a non-profit organisation and were the only examining body for credit management in South Africa. Botha pointed out that the ICMSA whose offices are in Northcliff, the money that they raised from the golf day would be put toward skills development, and education within the organisation.

“ICMSA is a non-profit organisation so we have to sustain ourselves financially which we do through examination fees but that is not always enough.” Botha said. “This fun-filled golf day was a huge success thanks to the donations we received, sponsors’ generous contributions and players who participated.”

Amateur golfer Gavin Wertheimer from Canon SA  said that he had enjoyed the golf day as it was for a good cause. He added that there was some friendly competition on the greens that kept the game interesting. The ICMSA gave four cameras to participants on the day.

The winners of the day were:

First place – Brian and Jean Blignaut

Second place – Richard Blignaut and Francois Kruger

Third place – Mark Heymann and Marlene Urquhart.
