Show up and get fit

MELPARK – Dayle Solomon encourages individuals to get up, dress up, show up and never give up when it comes to keeping fit.

Fitness trainer Dayle Solomon started a fitness club at Melpark Sports Complex to cater for the community.

“This is a community project that I am really proud of and it is for free,” said Solomon.

“It really fulfils me to see people grinding, it is not about money, and this is an opportunity for people to get healthy.”

Solomon informed that the training programme is mainly to make people aware of their own health.

“This is all about having fun in an interactive and positive environment – We recommend healthy eating and active lifestyle – And during our training sessions we don’t use machines, we are the machines,” he said.

Solomon also encouraged that no matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up and never give up.

In March, the club will run a competition which will see members reaching their weight loss goals.

“We will be testing everyone’s metabolic age and we will keep this in the database and measure it at the end of the month. Through exercise and healthy eating your metabolic age will decrease,” he said. The competition will start on 2 March and end on 4 April.
