Bowling is often seen as an old person’s sport but players at the Protea Bowling Club want to dispel this misconception. Here are a few of their reasons why young people should get out and try their hand at bowls:
– Bowling allows for a social experience where one can meet different people, share ideas and build long term friendships and relationships.
– Bowling, like other sports, will help to keep you active and healthy.
– Challenge yourself. Don’t sit back and say the game is not for you without testing your skills.
– Playing sports such as bowling will keep you occupied with self-enriching activity as opposed to being involved in unnecessary, even harmful activities.
– Bowling is adaptable. Children and adults of nearly every ability level and age can participate making it a family-friendly activity.
– The game contributes to balance, coordination and motor skills.
